Scrubs from Your Fabric
|
||
|
A Scrub Shirt requires 2 yards of 44"/45"
fabric unless it has a definite directional pattern - then it will take 2 1/4
yards. When using a 60" width fabric I still use 2 yards.
Scrub Pants, Long Sleeve Scrub Shirts and Jackets require 3 yards of
fabric. For fabric with a definite directional pattern it will require 3
1/4 yards for jackets.
Scrub Caps require 1 yard of fabric.
Costs are $10 per scrub shirt or pants and
$18 per jacket or long sleeve scrub shirt, $5 per scrub cap.
I usually make scrubs from a poly/cotton
blend - just because I think they wash and wear better for you. But I
can make them from cotton also. If sending 100% cotton - please send 2
1/4 yards to allow for shrinkage. I will wash all fabric before cutting
out and sewing. (I learned that lesson the hard way - I made two shirts
from some beautiful peach colored fabric and when I washed them they lost all
color and looked like old white bedsheets.)
As to the limit of fabric you can send -
whatever you want to send is fine. The postage for you to send it to me
will be the postage for me to send the finished articles back to you.
The US Postal Service has a website where you can calculate postage costs at http://postcalc.usps.gov/.
Just weigh your package and calculate from your zip code to mine (46792).
I do require payment in advance.
We can set up payment through paypal or by cashiers check or money order.
Use the order form
on my website to order your items. You can either email it to me (so I
know what's coming) or just include it in with your fabric.
If you have any other questions - please email me and I'll answer as quick as I can.
